Living Souls 48 Year Old Carsebridge 70cl

Nearly five decades in cask. A distillery that no longer exists. And a whisky that offers one of the rarest experiences in Scottish spirits — a genuine glimpse into a lost chapter of Lowland distilling history.
Carsebridge Distillery closed its doors long ago, but this extraordinary 48 year old single grain — independently bottled for the Living Souls collection and finished in first-fill bourbon barrels — preserves its legacy in liquid form. At 40.2% ABV, it is approachable, refined, and deeply complex in the way that only near-five-decade maturation can produce. A bottle for the collector, the enthusiast, and anyone who understands that some whiskies simply cannot be replaced.
Nose: Pineapple juice, warm shortbread, and honey, lifted by a delicate wisp of smoke.
Palate: Classic fruit cocktail sweetness layered with digestive biscuits and a rich, rounded depth that only decades in bourbon wood can create.
Finish: Graceful, long, and lingering — a rare farewell from a distillery the whisky world will not see again.
